The hiking trail provides a beautiful insight into the paths our nonas once took. It starts from the Castle Nova Kraljevica along the seaside path in the direction of Bakarac. The trail is marked with markings indicating the direction of travel and is not demanding. The length of the trail is 10.7 kilometers and is suitable for all ages.
The trail begins with a visit to the Nova Kraljevica Castle, continues through the Carovo Bay, and along the seaside promenade where you reach Bakarac. In Bakarac, passing by the tuneras and the Church of St. Peter the Apostle, the trail continues towards Križišće. On the way to Križišće, there are the Church of the Holy Trinity and an old cemetery, and after Križišće, the trail continues along Mrtvačev put, which in ancient times was used to transport the deceased to the Hreljin Fortress. Mrtvačev put leads to Mižolovo in the Šmrika area, and over the Šmrika Bridge the trail leads back towards Kraljevica. Across Banj, through Vrtić, it descends to the Old Town Zrinski. Finally, from the Old town Zrinski, the trail leads back to the beginning, to Castle Nova Kraljevica.
