Jasenovica trail

The picturesque grassy areas of Pribeniš, sprinkled with colourful plants and beautiful views from the top of Jasenovica, are the ideal setting when walking down this trail. The ‘Jasenovica’ walking trail (blue trail) leads through a beech forest and the fields of Mali Pribeniš and Veli Pribeniš, where horses and sheep can often be seen grazing during the summer days. The trail includes a slight ascent to the top of Jasenovica (1338 m), with views to the north, Risnjak, Snježnik and Guslica. The silence of dense beech forests is broken only by the sounds of insects and the flight of butterflies, and enjoying the intoxicating scents of medicinal plants will reveal a new dimension of beauty in coexistence with nature. The return trip takes you via the Platak mountain refuge to the starting point.
